About Folder Intelligence

Running out of disk space but don't want to install sketchy third-party cleanup tools? The Folder Intelligence Analyzer uses modern browser APIs to scan your local folders directly from the web. Simply select a folder, and the tool will recursively analyze thousands of files to show you exactly how much space is being consumed by Videos, Images, Documents, and Code. It also pinpoints the top 10 largest files hiding on your drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the browser ask me to 'Upload' files?

This is a standard security prompt by Chrome/Edge when accessing local folders. We guarantee that no files are actually uploaded to the internet; the browser is just giving the web page permission to read the file sizes locally.

Can this tool delete the files for me?

No. For security reasons, web browsers are strictly forbidden from deleting files on your computer. This tool tells you where the large files are so you can delete them manually.

What is the maximum folder size it can scan?

There is no strict size limit (it can scan Terabytes of data), but folders with more than 100,000 individual files might take a minute or two to process depending on your CPU speed.
